Part of the curriculum I've pursued at Berklee included sound-design classes, which taught creative processes behind sound effects for linear and interactive media either through non-traditional approaches such as real time synthesis models and prototypes, or by using more conventional techniques such has foley recordings as well as digital mixing production.
